The minor in Portuguese focuses on Brazilian Portuguese but provides students with knowledge of the Portuguese-speaking world. The courses cover a variety of topics that are relevant to Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking countries, ranging from language and literature to 19th-century Brazilian opera and contemporary performing arts.

Academic Plan & Requirements
To earn the minor, students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours in Portuguese language and literature courses, including a total of 9 upper-division credit hours. The minor is open to all undergraduate students at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, regardless of college or school.
