New for Sponsored Projects: m-Fin Closeout Summary Report
The m-Fin Project Closeout Summary report is a high-level closeout status report that provides a snapshot of sponsored projects and information that may affect closeout. It can be used to identify projects that appear ready for closeout, to group projects by potential closeout issues, and investigate why a project may require additional review as it approaches or passes its end date.Ìý
This report pulls all projects that have an effective status of Active and are associated with a Contract/Award. The report can be run for one project at a time, by award, PI, Org, or Grant Accountant.ÌýÌý

How to Read the ReportÌý
The mFin Closeout Summary Report Guide provides an overview of the report, including its functionality and the data you can expect to see.
Use the report as a high-level review. A balance or a Y flag is a reason to review the related details; the report does not define a single field that determines by itself that a project is ready to close.Ìý

Financial BalancesÌý | Review TO DATE ACTUALS, REVENUE, REVENUE VS ACTUALS, CASH, ASSETS, LIABILITIES, and applicable billing/revenue limits. Linked balances can be opened in Trial Balance Summary.Ìý |
Payments ReceivedÌý | Review PAYMENTS RECEIVED CROSS CHECK. A result of LETTER OF CREDIT indicates the Contract is Letter of Credit and payment information is not available in this field.Ìý |
Outstanding EncumbrancesÌý | Y means outstanding encumbrances were found; click the field to review the m-Fin OUTSTANDING ENCUMBRANCES report.Ìý |
Uncertified ePERsÌý | Y means uncertified ePERs were found; click the field to review m-Fin All ePERS by Project(s).Ìý |
BIL / OLT / ROL / DEF / OPEN ARÌý | A Y flag indicates rows or open items meeting that flag definition. Review the applicable details and drill-through report when one is available.ÌýÌý |
