Project Overview

ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ will conduct underground utility work near Regent Drive and Parking Lot 440 in summer 2026. Work includes installing underground utilities crossing Regent Drive near Engineering Drive.

ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ the Project

This project involves installing sanitary and storm utilities beneath Regent Drive. Due to the depth and complexity of the utilities, work will be completed in phases and scheduled overnight to reduce impacts to campus operations.

Construction will occur from late May through early July 2026.

Project Updates

• Preliminary work (potholing): Prior to May 26, 2026
• Phase 1: May 26 – June 2, 2026
• Phase 2: June 2 – June 10, 2026
• Phase 3: June 10 – June 18, 2026
• Phase 4: June 22 – July 9, 2026
• Work hours: Nighttime construction only; road reopened during the day
• No work: June 6, 2026 (campus event)

Construction Impacts

• Nighttime closures: A short portion of Regent Drive near Engineering Drive will be closed overnight
• Detours: Traffic will be routed through Lot 440 during closures
• Daytime access: Regent Drive will close daily at 5 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. the following morning.
• Transit: Bus access will be maintained during the day; nighttime impacts are under coordination
