Processing Times

ISSS strives to process all requests in an efficient manner.Ìý

  • Requests are processed in the order they are submitted and cannot be expedited within the typical processing timeframe.
  • Some requests send additional forms to academic advisors, deans, program administrators, or other second approvers. ISSS cannot begin processing a request until we receive the form back from these parties if they are a required part of the request process.

Current ISSS Processing Times

Processing times are based on ISSS receiving a complete request [all e-forms in the request completed by student/scholar and, if applicable, second approvers (e.g., academic advisor, department administrator)].

F-1 & J-1 Student Forms

  • 2-5 business days

J-1 Scholar Forms

Departmental DS-2019 Requests

  • 10 business days after ISSS receives a complete request

Departmental H-1B Petitions

  • 4-6 weeks after ISSS receives a complete request
