Student & Alumni Relations Fellow
The Student & Alumni Relations Fellow supports transformational leadership development by providing meaningful opportunities to the PLC community.
TheÌýStudent & Alumni Relations Fellow works towards personal, professional, and leadership growth through research, planning, design, iteration, and implementation of the following activities:
- Proactively outreaching to a diverse set of alumni to build and maintain relationships with the current program.
- Design and author Alumni Newsletters (quarterly)Ìýin order to keep alumni updated on events, activities, opportunities, and stories within PLC and the PLC alumni communities.
- Conduct informational interviews with PLC alumni in order to highlight their stories and leadership through the Alumni Newsletter.
- Fostering connections between alumni and new graduates to strengthen alumni engagement.
- Creating inclusive opportunities for alumni involvement across programs, events, and pillars of the program.
- Plan remote Alumni Think Tanks (2/semester)Ìýto provide opportunities for alumni to connect with and discuss relevant topics.
- Facilitates all matches made for the Alumni Match Program (AMP)
- Using Forever Buffs and internal matching mechanisms to match PLCers to alumni for mentorship.
- CommunicateÌýwith alumni about expectations that come with being a alumni match.
- Communicate expectations to PLCers with how to best interact with alumni and be a responsible match.
- Possibly attend board meetings with the PLC Board of Advocates
- Participate, provide student voice, raise discussion topics surrounding the development and overall betterment of PLC. (TBD by supervisor)
- Attend weekly Connections Team meetings, weekly FLEXD course meetings, possible one-on-one meetings with supervisor.
