Honoring the esteemed career of Professor David Clough

For the past two weeks, the Ìýhas been sharing stories and memories from the 42-year career of engineering professor David Clough, as he prepares for retirement.
There was no shortage of stories submitted. With an encyclopedic memory and a knack for connecting with students, Clough has become a popular educator over the course of his career. For the past 12 years he has served as ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ's faculty athletics representative, where he advocates for academic integrity and the well-being of student-athletes, seeking to know and be known by every CU player and coach.
Former students and colleagues deemed him “, a “, an “ and “.
But the campaignÌýinvolves much more than sharing fond memories for nostalgia's sake. The engineering collegeÌýhas in Clough's name to honor his legacy and provide a leg-up to the faculty member who follows in his footsteps.
Any amount donated between now and Friday, June 30, will be more than doubledÌýby matching gifts from generous benefactors who want future students to benefit from faculty members as committed as Clough. Even pledges made over several years count toward the match.
In the oft-heard words ofÌýClough: “Opportunities come along—say yes.â€
