Faculty SPACE’s community-building events to kick off Sept. 8
All faculty, instructors, lecturers and adjuncts looking to build camaraderie and community with faculty colleagues at ñ are invited to for Faculty Shared Perspectives and Community Engagement, or SPACE, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Gamow Tower.
SPACE is organized by faculty from different parts of campus and sponsors community-building events throughout the academic year. See ñ Today’s February 2019 interview with Professor Shelly Miller for background information and the purpose of SPACE.
“SPACE provides a warm, informal environment for faculty to meet, build community and share experiences,” said Michele Moses, vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of education. “It helps make a large university feel smaller, and I encourage all interested faculty to join us each month.”
SPACE meets once a month on Thursdays in various locations on campus, hosted by Faculty Fellow Alaa Ahmed. Visit the SPACE website, and mark your calendars for dates and locations of this year’s gatherings.
