Green Steel Environmental named to AquaAction's first U.S. water-tech cohort
AquaAction has launched its first U.S. wave in Michigan, selecting 10 water-tech companies for its new AquaEntrepreneur Michigan program, including Green Steel Environmental, a ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ startup. Over the 10-month program, the selected entrepreneurs will receive customized coaching, technical guidance and guaranteed opportunities to pilot their technologies in real-world settings.
Green Steel Environmental turns steel-industry by-products into low-cost materials that remove phosphorus and sulfur from wastewater, helping protect waterways while supporting a more circular economy. The cohort was announced at the Michigan Blue Economy Summit, held in partnership with AquaAction and the University of Michigan-Flint.
